Pat was born and raised on the east front of the Rocky Mountains. She creates wonderful, realistic landscapes and flower paintings. Her original landscape art portrays the natural beauty of her surroundings. Her flower paintings range from the smallest wildflower to elaborate still lifes into which she paints the keepsakes from 3 generations. Although she enjoys still life painting, a majority of her work is inspired by nature. Inspiration can come from a stroll through her garden, a flower covered hillside, or the majesty of the Rocky Mountains.
Through the years Pat's artistry has progressed through the crayons of childhood, to oils, to her current love of transparent watercolor. She relishes the challenge of planning her whites, leaving lively shadows, and clear vibrant colors.
She is basically self-taught but has taken several workshops from well-known artists. Pat is a member of MTWS, the MIA, Western Heritage Artists, FRAA and GFAA. Her art can be viewed in private collections throughout the Northwest, and at the Montana Antler Art Gallery in Choteau, MT, and on their website, montanaantler.com. Pat's art has won the hearts of many collectors.
